Well...although there is approximately 26” of solid ice over the bay right now, we are (kinda) getting to the point of dreaming of the warmer months ahead.
It really is quite amazing the true 4-seasons we experience up here. I have been out on that lake in literally -30C, and +30C. Not many areas of the world could experience temperature fluctuations like that, and offer that same experience.
It’s been a wonderful ice fishing season to date, with a good solid ice base since opening day back on January 1, and a solid snow base for our sledders. The fishing has been very strong...and although we do not have a lot of winter pictures in our gallery, we certainly have plenty from our spring, summer & fall season that will get you even more excited about the upcoming season. Have a look...
That being said, the spring season is filling up quickly, with the weekends really filling up that much faster. Due to Labour Day falling so late this year, this has in fact opened up an additional weekend in the Spring which still has some great options/availability. Check our availability page to plan a spring getaway!
Some of you might be aware that we planned to dredge the marina this year. We are happy to announce that all of our permits have been approved, and have our contractor lined up. There is no exact date set quite yet, however more information will follow in a future update.
We just wanted to share a quick update/quick ‘hello’ from ‘The Beam’ before our annual season overview & 'what’s new’ update that will be coming out for the end of February.
Stay Warm!
