This year we had a different kind of summer season for sure! It’s hard to believe we are now into our fall season, but we’ve been very busy (thankfully) and amazingly it all went well, despite necessary restrictions.
We’d like to thank everyone who stayed with us this summer - it was so great to be able to welcome you after wondering if there would even be a summer season! At one point we had no knowledge at all of when, or IF, we would be allowed to open. As soon as we could open, we were ready and very happy to take your calls. The support, appreciation and encouragement you have given us, and continue to give us, is amazing! Thank you. We are glad we have been able to offer you a chance to take a break from the city, your work, or whatever stress the pandemic has brought you, and hope that your stay here has provided excellent summer memories for you to take away with you. Although COVID restrictions changed how we were able to do things, and many people had to change their plans because of travel restrictions, we had a great summer of fishing, live music, kids’ treasure hunts and camp BBQs…with a bit more distancing, of course. Fortunately, the rainfall this season was just the right amount to keep the water levels up, keep the grass green and ensure we didn’t have any fire bans.
Here are a few updates to the resort for those who were not here this year:
Our new docks really came together after a lot of work. We had very positive comments on the docks themselves and the new arrangements of seating areas on the big deck, as well as our smaller, very pleasant ‘sunset deck’, which overlooks the water, and features a table & chairs for relaxing, eating lunch or playing some cards, and a large propane fire bowl. In the recreation areas, there is now a chalk board for keeping score of all those shuffleboard games, and there are additions to the kids’ play equipment: a mini slide, mini trampoline, as well as a mini basketball net for small kids.
Keep in mind there is still time until mid-October to come up for some fishing, or to enjoy the fall colour change, or for a Thanksgiving break.
